Interior door paint which might withstand bathroom moisture?

by katieb » Mon Jan 28, 2008 11:32 am

My bathroom is clearly too hot and the paint has been flaking off my bathroom door. I have sanded it back but need to re-paint. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good paint which can be used on white interior doors which might withstand a little bathroom moisure?

Any oil based paint will withstand bathroom moisture, providing the surface has been primed/undercoated, and top coated correctly.
Look for oil based eggshell, satin, gloss, depending on the finish you want.
It sounds to me as if the door has been painted with emulsion, which is water based.
You may well need to sand it well down to achieve a good finish.
