no hot water from bath tap All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

I am only getting lukewarm water from the bath tap.Other taps, such as bathroom sink get hot water fine. My boiler is a combi, and the water pressure seems OK. Other than taking the tap apart,which is difficult to get to could anything else be causing this ?

Try turning water thermostat up abit or closing the tap slightly, to reduce the flow rate. - especially in this weather when the mains cold water entering the house is colder the water still goes through the boiler at the same rate as it does through the summer months.

So slowing the water going through the boiler, will increase the temperature at the taps.
