stone or plastic?

Hi, granite & corian are very different materials - granite being stone, corian a type of plastic. I wouldnt recommend taking up granite work, you need waterbed cutting wheels, grinders etc, but cutting/bonding/polishing corian materials is relatively easy, similar to cabinet work. James Latham have the import rights for a product called LG Himacs (a corian style acrylic stone material) - they run a 1-3 days course, but its amied at converting those in the trade, not for those starting from scratch.
