I ASSUME THE DOOR FRAME IS WOOD IN AN EXTERIOR BRICK WALL!

DOOR FRAMES IN OLDER PROPERTIES ARE NAILED THROUGH INTO WEDGES OF WOOD IN MORTAR JOINTS OF BRICKWORK.

IF YOU HAVE NEWER PROPERTY, THE FRAME MAY WELL BE SCREWED TO THE BRICKWORK.

IF DOOR FRAME IS IN TIMBER STUD WALL, THEN IT WILL BE EITHER NAILED OR SCREWED.

IF YOU WISH TO REMOVE FRAME WITH CARE , THEN LOACATE NAILS/SCREWS WITH METAL DETECTION DEVICE.

IF YOUR NOT BOTHERED ABOUT DAMAGE TO WALLS, THEN JUST LEVER OFF WITH CROWBAR OR SIMILAR LEAVERS.

Many thanks for your reply. The door is on the exterior wall but is in upvc. I still cant locate any fixings, and will need to preserve wall and door if possible. Thanks
