Installing new bathroom suite in old terraced house.
Found the hot and cold supplies in....turned water off....... installed gate valves to get better control.
Ive got all the shiny new pipework installed. There is no hot water coming out of either of the two legs for bath and basin. The hot water is working fine elsewhere in the house. IE There is a click noise from inside the combi, the the water pump and heater kicks in and a few seconds later hot water comes out.
The new gate valves appear to be working OK. So now i'm confused as the hot water should at least fill up enough to pressurise my pipework so I can check for leaks on this side.
I've even opened the ball valves on each leg try to cause a leak on purpose.
The cold water is working fine, and is of a good pressure and flow rate.
<thinks out loud> Could it be an air lock? If it is is an air lock how can I clear it???
