Help needed.
This sounds like a silly question and I only stumbled on this quirk when I replaced the tap head gear for the Kitchen sink. The tap has one spout with a hot and cold supply taps. I replaced the hot and cold tap head gear. The quirk is (or may not be) the cold water is turned on by turning the tap clockwise and the hot water by turning anti clockwise. The old head gear had the cold and hot water turned on by turning the tap anticlockwise and shut the water off by turning the tap clockwise.
What is the standard if any? also if my replacement set up is wrong what can I do to fix it?
I hope I have made sense in describing the problem/quirk.
Many thanks
Vinny
