Painting bay window tiles

by slugabedz » Tue Feb 26, 2008 8:14 pm

Hi
My bay window is covered in tiles. From Googling a few pictures I think they could be called peg tiles although I'm not sure what they are made of. They have been painted by a previous owner and are looking pretty awful so I would like to paint them again and try to return them to their natural red/terracotta type colour but am not sure which paint I should use. Will regular masonry paint do the job or do I need to find specific outdoor tile paint?
Thanks

IF THEY ARE A MOULDED CONCRETE TYPE TILE THEY WILL BE POROUS AND WILL REQUIRE MASONARY PAINT.

IF THEY ARE A MOULDED BAKED TYPE TILE THEY WILL BE IMPERVIOUS TO WATER AND WILL REQUIRE AN EXTERIOR TILE PAINT.
