Valve Positioning on Towel Rails

by Heeber » Wed Feb 27, 2008 10:44 pm

dunno if I'm being daft here........

I'm gonna fit a towel rail in a relatively small bathroom, and it struck me looking at various catalogues that all the pictures have the valves coming straight out of the wall - i.e. at right angles to the wall surface.

My thought was, what with the size of a thermostatic valve, I can see the family continually barking shins of the valves as they walk past.

Am I crazy to look for a solution that keeps the valves parallel to the wall surface (as the bog std one now does) and even have the two valves pointing towards each other for even more streamlining?

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Heeb

You are talking about angled Valves, and you can get straight valves, where the pipes come straight out of the floor, straight into the valve, and the into the rad. In one nice continiuos line. and then you can face teh valves inwards, so the both look at each other. Very neat little job .
