Low pressure in brand new electric shower All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

Hi there,
Just changed my old Triton TX7000s 7.5kw, for a Triton Jade II 8.5kw. As soon as we turn the water on for the flush out, the low pressure light came on. I think we have approx 7 ltrs per minute whereas the new shower requires 9 ltrs. The old electric shower didn't have any heating problems (possibly because we used it set on economy at all times). With the new shower we tried the various temperature settings and temperature controls, but the water did not heat up at all. We intend to use the new one in economy mode, how can the low pressure water be improved, or adjust settings in the new electric shower for the water to heat up?

Hi

Make sure your main stop cock is open fully and any other stop cock you may have between the main one and the shower.

once you have check this

(With it being newly fitted), go to the highest water tap in the house and turn it on full then go down to the stop cock and turn it off and on fully about six times this will remove any air that may be in the system from when you fitted the shower and from any works that may have taken place out in the street which can cause a air lock, then turn off the tap at the top of the house and try the shower

it may seem a silly question but is it connected to the mains water supply
if so did you turn off/on any valves they may not be opening enough
