Under Floor Bumps Appearing

by s_bruno1 » Mon Mar 24, 2008 10:05 pm

Hi Guys, i wonder if you can help. I have concrete flooring in my living room on top of which we have placed laminate flooring. We have got 3 big bumps appear which i rising form under the concrete screeding hence causing the laminate to raise. The bumps seem completly solid and you can stand on them with out any movement. We live in a area with alot of clay in the ground and have heard it can be something called heives (dont know how to spell it and nothing is appearing on google) but the clay is supposed to expand hence causing the floor to raise from under the concrete.
I wonder if you have heard of anything similar ever happen or have any knowledge on a problem like this? Even the correct spelling of the floor heives* would be great so i can google and research it myself.

many many thanks for your time.
