Washing machine drianage

by saintjay77 » Wed Mar 26, 2008 4:55 pm

Hi,

I have a problem when my Washing machine drains the dirty water fills up the sink. It never used to do this so I figgured there is a blockage somewhere that is making things difficult to drain. But I have checked the U bend which is now clear and also checked any other pipes that are related. I also have the same problem the other way round. as in when i empty the sinnk my washing machine fills up with water.

Any ideas?

S,

DOES YOUR SINK EMPTY NORMALLY WHEN WASHER ISN’T ON?

ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY SURE THE SINK DRAIN/U-BEND AND PIPES TO OUTSIDE GULLEY ARE CLEAR?

WASHER CAN ONLY BACK SYPHON IF DRAIN OUTLET IS BLOCKED AND SINK FULL OR DRAIN OUTLET NOT AT RECOMMENDED HEIGHT FOR YOUR WASHER.
(SEE YOUR WASHER INSTASLL/OPERATION BOOKLET)

WASHER WATER INLET VALVES ONLY OPEN WHEN WASHER IS SWITCHED ON AND WASH CYCLE SELECTED.

ALDA.
