Ideal Isar: hot water problem

by ti9er » Fri Apr 04, 2008 5:34 pm

the hot water doesn't stay hot. it seems that the boiler isn't firing enough - the burner keeps switching off. Any ideas what it could be and how to fix it?

Could be a thermistor or sensor needs replacing, check manufactuers instructions - it will tell you where and how to change them and the part order number you need to purchase the correct part.

thanks very much!

it seems to work fine on the central heating system but the problem seems to be with the hot water, hopefully it's just the thermistor but do you think it could be the hot water heat exchanger?

problem is the fault finding LED display doesn't seem to be working anymore, it just shows ___ (underscore) but the green light for the burner is ok

thanks again
