garage electric supply

HI ,i want to run a power supply to my garage. Its 100 feet down the end of my garden. Will i have to bury the cable or can i run it down the fence.
Also what size armored cabel do you think i should use, i plan to use no more than about 30 amps tops. thanks

are u sure you need 30 Amps? allowing for diversity unless several people working with power tools at same time you should not reach any where near that much. however if you do u will need a 6mm swa to keep in volt_drop limits,
you can run buried or on fence with swa, but don't forget unless u notify bldg control first & pay fee you must get work done by part p leckie, see projects section.
If u reduce load to say25 Amps u can use a 4mm swa cable, regards SPARX
