BONES,
IF YOU CUT OFF OLD POST 2.
ANY UNEVENESS IN THE CONCRETE SURFACE COULD BE SMOOTHED OUT WITH DIAMOND DISC IN ANGLE GRINDER.
THEN HAVE AN PRE-DRILLED EXTENSION PLATE WELDED OR BOLTED TO THE POST HOLDER BASE.
THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO FIX THE HOLDER TO CONCRETE IN A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT POSITION ON CONCRETE WHILST KEEPING THE POST POSITION IN THE SAME PLACE AS BEFORE.
OR
CHOP OUT AS MUCH OF THE OLD POST WOOD AS YOU CAN AND RAM CONCRETE INTO HOLE TO PROVIDE A BASE TO SIT AND DRILL HOLDER TO.
HOPE THIS WILL HELP.
CHEERS,
ALDA.
