Short spigot to connect toilet pan connector to soil. Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

I have bought a toilet of which the pan has a [u][b]very short bit [/b][/u]at the back to which the soil fits. I am fitting a flexible 4" seal outlet McAlpine pan connector as this enables the toilet to fit in the space available. However, it does not seem to make a snug seal onto the spigot at the back of the pan, and I am worried in case it could come off. Could anyone advise me on this?

THESE TYPE OF CONNECTORS ARE USED FOR ALIGNMENT PURPOSES AND SHOULDN'T BE STRETCHED TO MUCH.

CAN'T THE PAN BE MOVED CLOSER TO SOIL PIPE?

TRY TO AQUIRE A SHORT SOIL PIPE TO PAN STRAIGHT CONNECTOR TO WHICH YOU CAN THEN COUPLE THE FLEXI CONNECTOR AND THIS TO PAN SPIGOT.(MAY REQUIRE MORE SPACE THAN YOU HAVE AVAILABLE).

YOU COULD USE A GOOD QUALITY WATERPROOF ADHESIVE TAPE (SAME COLOUR) TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL HOLD TO BOTH THE PAN SPIGOT AND SOIL PIPE.

Place the pan connector on the pan and flush the toilet a few times the suction on the rubber will form a seal.
