personally i would rewire back to mains board and form a new separate circuit.
however if socket is on the ring ( presume u have checked 4
continuity of conductors to prove ring ) then a spur ,fused
preferably with neon can be added to ring main ( still being kept
on the ring ) . on the load side 1.5 LIGHTING CABLE , can be run to feed the wall lights. i would recommend a 3 amp fuse in the spur
get a electrician to check over your work
