I have 2 recessed lights that are on a dimmer switch.
Can anyone tell me why they make a high pitch noise when I turn the dimmer down? They are standard recessed 65W bulbs.
probably a cheap dimmer. the triac in the dimmer switch causing the elements in the bulbs to vibrate due to the magnetisation of the filament from choppy voltage spikes from the triac. buy a better dimmer!
