I have been trying to lay laminate flooring all day and am just perplexed at how to fit it together when you start the second row. I understand how the tongue and groove fits together and have got one row all neatly done, but when it came to the second row I just couldn't see how you could lock together the ends and do the sides at the same time if you have to hold it at a 30 degree angle to fit the board. What am I missing here? do you have to bang it? I tried that but nothing semed to move, as the groove itself was level with its fellow groove and they wouldnt budge. I have read all the info on diy, but they only ever say ' lock it together', without explaining how you actually do this. Do you have to saw off the tongue and groove at the end? please tell me how they can fit together, as I am very annoyed at the whole proceess and don't want to give up just yet!
