Cannot open some windows. Post questions and find answers on glazing, double glazing, upvc glazing, conservatory glazing, fixtures and fittings etc....

Can anyone help. Althiough I can turn key and handle some windows will not open. I can access the screw for the handles, but the lock stays shut.
Can I do anything?

Hi Twinkle I have the same problem is there any way to get at the locking mechanism of the window. the bar tha slides across and locks the window has become unattached from the handle

Thanks Fixit, I can't see into the mechanism. I think I will try taking the handle off and see where it gets me!
