My stainless steel sink has just broken away from the kitchen granite work top.
On investigation, the sink was held by metal clips screwed into the underside of the granite. This was achieved by a threaded insert being epoxy's (I assume) into the granite, to take the clip crew.
The sink was installed about 10 years ago.
I have seen that this is a common technique - although installing in MDF under the granite is a preferred solution.
Are the threaded inserts and epoxy standard items - and who might stock them? Any problems in re-fixing the same way?
