when i turn the hot tap on in my house i get a sudden rush then a trickle out the hot tap of the bath. the cylinder is on the bottom floor next to the bath room. can anything be done to increase the pressure of the hot water to bath. pump etc?

How long has it been going on for?

If it’s a steady loss of water overe a few weeks?

Sounds like a blockage somewhere, start at the Cold Water Storage Cistern in the loft for sludge, then work down to the Hot Water Cylinder, then along the distribution pipes to the taps.
