Girl with fallen down curtain rail!!! Help!

by distresseddamsel » Fri May 30, 2008 12:37 pm

My ex put up my curtain rail about five weeks ago. Today it fell down and nearly knocked me out (did he plan that??!!). It is just like the roll plug slid out as there is a very neat hole where it came from. Tried to just put it back in and it fell out again. How do I make it stay in!! Can I glue it? HELP!

Try putting a smaller wall plug inside the exsiting one in the wall then re screw it, as a quick fix. Also try filling the hole slightly with some ready mixed filler, leave it for 2o mins or so then try re fixing the curtain rail up. Or even try a slightly bigger screw. All these are quick fixes. Best thing is buy the correct wall plugs for the wall. Hope this helps.

You could also try and put some little pieces of wood into the plug before you put your screw in. Sometimes helps to hold the screw tighter
