Hi,

I have just fitted a NewTeam shower pump (sorry don't know the model as its worn off). It looks like it may be quite an old model but hasn't been used before. I've installed it next to the hot water tank, I'm only using it for hot water though it does have 2 inlets+outlets.
Once its switched on, it stays on regardless of whether there is any water flow.
Is there something I may have missed or do some older units not have flow sensors built in? Any help appreciated!

Can't be certain, but this looks like a model I have fitted some time ago and certainly that NewTeam model required a separate sensor for water flow. If the pump starts the moment the power is switched on it seems reasonable to suggest the sensor is either not working or missing.

If the sensor is integral, it should be obvious by having visible wiring leading to the sensors on each end of the pump.

Incidentally, you must utilise both ends of the pump. Do not allow one pump to run dry as this will cause the bearings on the dry end to overheat.
