I am trying to install a door liner. But, the jambs on the door liner are not straight. They are very bent and therefore i cannot get a straight finish. I am just wondering whether this will cause a problem when fitting the door? or do I give the door liner back and get a new straight one?!
Hi
The door can be shaved to any shape (within reason) but i will still recommend u take it back and get it replaced with str8 wood. No point in making the job harder for yourself. Don't forget if you don't get it right now everytime you wanna change your door you will have to go to the extra trouble of shaping the door again!

Thanks for the reply.
I have exchanged the door liner set for another one but that to is the same...not as bad as the other one. I bought it from homebase. I was wondering if it was better if I got the door liner set from a timber merchants?
Again take it back.
You will probably be better going to a timber merchants as they specialise in timber they have more knoweldge in storing materials correctly. But some have a tendacy of trying to get rid of the bent ones. So go in and pick your own. Sight the wood before you pay for it. If it looks bent tell them to get you a straight one.
