fixing swing bracket lcd tv 37 inches to plasterboard wall General problems, solutions, information and advice on fixing to walls of all kinds

I am unsure of how to do this the bracket piece to be fixed to the wall is 3 inch by 8 inch are there any screw fixings that will hold the fixing in place with the weight of the tv on it, my wall is hollow but there maybe some wooden pieces behind but no full lengths only small pieces found from knocking the house is 8 yr old
