Hi
My problem is, I have just became the owner of a Bungalow in Scotland
and the roof of the house needs scraped and re-painted, just now it is needing scraped as the paint is very badly peeling and curling up at the edges, when I went in the house and into the loft there is no insulation on the sheets and this is where I noticed that the roof was made of asbestos
The sheets are about 4ft wide,by about 10ft long with 4---4"ridges over the width of a sheet, approx 1ft apart running the length of each sheet.
The roof of the bungalow covers approx 230 Sq meters.
I was told by the neighbours that the roof had been painted many times in the past but but only lasted 2 years before it need redone. This is why I need HELP from the experts, When I scrape of the curling paint, what do I do to prep, the roof, and what type of paint should I use and if possible where can I get the paint from. :?:
The bungalow was built about 1945.so I am sure that its asbestos, and not
cement fibre board.
Thats it.
Thanks IAN
