2 gang 2 way switch need help with connections Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

hi there
i have just purchased a 2 way switch and when removing the old one it had different connection to my new one so i was wondering if any one could give me some advise on this subject.

the problem is that there is no (common) connection only L,L1,L2 so i am unsure which cable is to go where.

on my old connection the
yellow cable went in L1
blue cable in L2
red in com
red in com
red in L1

but my new switch has
L
L
L2
L1
L2
L1

i was wondering if there was any one out there who could help

In the new switch the l's are the commons your yellows goto l1 and your blues to l2

L , would be on its own , and probaly the common ,
where red would go.
yellow and blue have L1 and L2 connections as previous switch . next
to each other.
get someone in to check it 4 u
