stripping paint from metal

by LES EATON » Mon Aug 04, 2008 11:43 pm

I have some metal windows that have gloss paint on.
The previous owner was less than careful when painting the hardwood frames, and there is a lot of paint on the metal.
If I was to use a paint stripper (eg Nitromors) on them, presumeably this would strip down to the bare metal, which is not what I want.
I want to get them back to the original finish - is this possible?
