flooding kitchen Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

Hi, Help please!!! we have recently purchased a 100 year old cottage. the kitchen and dining room have original quary tile floors. whenever it rains fairly hard water comes up through the kitchen floor in one spot. when it rains very hard water comes up in the kitchen in about 4 different places. we have had all of the drains close to the kitchen re-lined but this has not altered the problem. What do we do next to get to the source of the problem. Any ideas of what the issue is or how we can find a solution would be gratefully received. cheers Jen & Freya

sounds like there is no damp proof membrane under the tiles.
I would suggest getting an independant surveyors report done to find the true source of the problem.
Also get a camera down the drain if its been lined incorrectly you can get the company back to redo all the drains.
I know a surveyor is costly but it will save money in the long run

couldn't be entering the kitchen elsewhere and running to the lower points of the floor ?
