Toilet syphon leaks Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

Cistern leaking. I have changed the syphon in the toilet cysten and all works well. As soon as I add more water to check the overflow (which runs into pan) it starts dripping out at the bottom of the cistern. I cant see how or why this should happen as it works perfectly untill I test the overflow. I fitted a Dudley Turbo 88.
