Damp running down same corner upstairs and down,

by robking » Mon Sep 22, 2008 9:05 am

We moved into our new house 8 months ago. It was built two years ago but never been lived in.
All windows are Double Glazed UPVC with all having ventilation slides.

We have now noticed that there is damp in the corner of a room upstairs running the whole length of the wall. (external wall) On checking the room below we have found exactly the same problem in the same corner.

The house is well ventilated and I am concerned that the builders may have(excuse the pun) cut corners in something.

Currently we have no other damp problems around the house, really appreciate your thoughts.

Hi

Have you had a look at the DIY Doctor Projects section: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects.htm There are several projects relating to damp and resolving damp issues that may be of some use to you.

Regards
