Outdoor reflective surface for light-well

by Antman » Tue Sep 23, 2008 10:39 am

Hi there,
We have recently created a light-well to get light into the basement. The dimensions of the well are around 150 x 50 cm and we have a window at the bottom opening into the well. The well goes up about 3m and opens up on a flat roof.

We have painted the walls of the light-well white and the light coming in is enough to walk around in the basement but you need to switch the light on for anything else.

We want to put something on the wall of the well to make it more reflective but we are not sure what the best option would be.

Does anyone know of any reflective material we could buy that could be used outdoors and could be fixed to the wall?

Thankyou.

You can buy rolls of plastic film that have been finished to look like a mirror, with very good reflection values.
I have seen it in B&Q
