Cavity wall insulation without drill holes everywhere? Information, help, tips and advice on cavity walls, ceilings and lofts etc....

Hi

I've had cavity wall insulation in my previous house, and it was done by drilling lots of holes on the exterior walls and pumping insulation in. That was okay because, after the holes were filled I painted the house.

However, my new house has bright white dashing on it, and I'm sure it would look a mess if holes were drilled all over it. I'm sure even filling the holes with the same type of dashing would look bad. Is there any kind of cavity wall insulation that I can use without drilling loads of holes? A few holes would be acceptable.

Not as far as I know!
You can drill the holes on the inside!

Polystyrene beads (unbonded) use far less holes. There was a system called isodan but I dont know if it is still around. It is possible to patch bright white dashing to perfection. I know because I have done it. You just need to find someone who is careful and pays attention to detail.
