My french doors open outward and where we are situated, it is very exposed to strong winds.
When we open the door, the wind immediately catches the door and it requires some 'strength' to hold the door.
There have been several occasions where my kids or anyone else opens the door, and the door then get caught by the wind and flies open.
We have had one or two near-misses when the door has nearly hit someone standing behind the door.
What I am looking to do is to fit a door closer - are there any suitable door closers that will be compatible with french patio doors??
If not, do anyone else have any suggestions??
I have thought about taking the whole frame out and turning it round so that the door opens inwards. This is not an option I would like to take if possible.
Another solution would be to replace the french doors with sliding patio doors but that is an expensive solution!!
