Boiler Back Flushing into the water tank

by Dalus » Sun Sep 28, 2008 11:31 pm

Hi,

I've searched the forum for this problem and could find nothing of a similar nature.

I have a Vokera 12-48 rse boiler and when i turn water on to it so it has pressure (1-1.5 bar), it causes water to flow into the water tank through one of the water feed pipes at the bottom. This is causing the overflow pipe to run constantly, and is causing a small leak on the side of the tank itself where the overflow exits the tank.

Is there any common problems that would cause this to happen?

I am unfamiliar with plumbing, so thanks for any advice.

Hi can you explain slightly better, what tank are you talking about? is it say red or orange?

This is a system boiler, designed to be used on sealed systems only.

If the manufacturers instructions have been followed, and it is a sealed system, if when re-pressurising the system - the water flows from the over flow, then it may be a split/corroded cylinder coil.
