radiator in kitchen not heating up. just had 2 new valves fitted. trv on the flow and a trv on the return. should i have a normal valve on the return side instead of a trv. are the trv's fitted with a none return valve in them. thanks.

TRV's are not fitted with non return valves. Only one trv should be fitted to a radiator. The other end should have a lock shield (normal valve with a tamper proof cover) set to regulate the correct flow of water through the radiator.

The usual causes for a cold radiator is blocked pipe caused by an airlock or sludge.
