Thank you johnie 1966 and Arnak. I found a book in the bookstore you suggested Arnak the which includes window frames so I think that I will get it. I am only interested in maintaining my house and have all the necessary tools and need a couple of window frames. Jonnie, if you look at the site suggested by Arnak you will find a book on Carpentry and Joinery by Brian Porter which has a chapter including windows frames Best wishes
