I am installing a non-easy plumb screwfix shower tray onto newly laid 18mm chipboard. There is about a 15mm drop between back to front and was wondering what the best way to level it off would be. I was thinking of packing the lower end but also putting down a layer of cement/sand to strengthen it or is it best to lay a wet mix, if so what would be the best mix to use and do i need to add pva?
Thanks for the reponse garnico1307, i had laready checked the projects page out and have searched extensively on the web. I can see that i will probably have to put a cement/sand mix but can't find any advice on a mix, should it be a dry mix or fairly runny etc.
a sand and cement base is the normal way to level it. Dont just pack the low end. the try need to be supported over most of its base or it will flex and break the seal to the screen
