Spur cable length

Please could somebody tell me what the maximum length is I'm allowed to have a spur cable at? I'm looking to add another socket in the next bedroom which is about 1 metre away from the socket i need to go from. Is this length ok?

HI! no limit in regs & unlikely to go too far as another skt would then be nearer!,
