Hi, I need an extra double socket in a bedroom, but ive run 2.5mm T&E from the new socket as a spur to an existing socket. Now arriving (backwards, I know!) to the existing socket I note there are 3 cables, I guess this means it already has a spur. So,the question is,would the best thing be to connect the existing socket to a FCU, 13 amp (meaning threre would still be 3 cables in it with the extra one now going to the FCU.) And then run both spurs from the FCU. (It wont be practical to run from the FCU to one spur, then from that spur to another spur.) Or maybe put in another single socket, by connecting one set of ring cable wires from the existing socket to a new single socket directly next to it if they will reach, and leaving the ring and existing spur in the existing socket, then running the new spur from the new single socket. But if I do this, do I need to link the existing socket and the new single socket together, otherwise ill be breaking continuity of the ring wont i?
