Hi - I am after some help. We have a growing damp issue in our living room. We live in a victorian terrace and the front external wall and wall that is connecting to one of our neighbours is gathering a growing damp section in the corner, moving up, down and each side. Its about 5.5 feet from the floor
A smaller damp amount was there when we moved in and so we applied a waterproof lacquer to the front of our house and then have been waiting for it to dry out to redecorate. Unfortunately this doesnt seem to have worked as it has grown and isnt drying out
If we get a plasterer in to recut and replaster - will that solve the problem?
We will recheck the downpipe and ensure they are clear. Is there anything else we can do - do we need to spend loads and get our wall rebuilt etc? We are trying to save for our wedding and so has come at a bad time!
Any help / advice would be greatfully recieved
Thanks in advance
