60's Semi needing re-plumbing

by Trevor Oats » Tue Oct 28, 2008 11:01 am

I'm in the throes of modernising a 1960's semi and plan to install new hot water and heating systems. The house is typical 3-bed semi with existing traditional oil fired boiler and open heating system. I'd appreciate direction to previous posts or web info explaining the options for a more efficient and practical closed system (stored water vs direct heating). Modest water/heat users at present (young couple) but hope to have additions over the next few years. Oil fired boiler is most appropriate for the forseeable future. All pipework is being replaced. Thanks. Trevor.
