Seized up tap valve

by yorkie48 » Tue Oct 28, 2008 10:00 pm

Hi there

I've found your project page on repairing a leaking tap very helpful, got the equipment I need, but cannot get the valve out of my kitchen tap, as it's seized up. I've tried a supposed releasing fluid to no avail. Any suggestions? It's a simple job that I should be able to do myself.

Thanks :x [/b]

try turning it the other way (ie clockwise) to loosen it. some have reverse threads on them to prevent them coming loose during normal operation. you may think that you are loosening but might actually be tightening.
