bathroom pipes

when i drain the bath of its water i get a gargling noise from the sink what causes it and how can you fix the problem

It's the way the waste pipes have been connected, you can buy anti-syphon traps which will help - although the noise isn't the main problem, the traps should retain water to prevent sewer smells coming back up into the house, this seal will be lost when the gurgling noise starts so if you get any problems with blockages in the main drains your bathroom wont smell too good.
