Leaking Blanking Plug

by misterdun » Mon Nov 03, 2008 8:09 am

Having just installed a new WC I have found the only place I have aleak is the blanking plug in the cistern. It is a B&Q job and the plug doesn't seem big enoughfor the hole, I'm not sure whether I am over-tightening the nut and therefore squashing the washer but on the underside I can see there is a gap, it's as if it's not big enough. Are there larger plugs available or should i try and seal it with plumbers mait (mate)?
