Rafters

Hi

Can you possibly tell me if it is possible to move W shaped rafters in a loft to provide more room to convert.

My house is a relative new build but with a huge loft space. still plenty of room with the rafters but would like to make more?

Rafters in a loft usually have the roofing battens (which carry the tiles) nailed to them as well as struts which strengthen the roof laterally. Its usually not possible to move a rafter without removing the roof covering.
