I have just built a decking patio and want to put a 15 foot x 48 ins pool on to it.
My intention was to place some polystyrene insulation panels onto decking first to protrct plastic bottom of pool.
Was also thinking of using DPC liner as well.

Any thoughts on insulation panels taking weight of water (plus kids!)

We would be more concerned about the decking taking the weight of the water than the insulation Steve. If you want an easy way to protect the pool lay it on some carpet remnants from a flooring shop.
