Does anyone know whether there is such a thing as a boiler/heating system that can be operated (ie turned on and off) remotely either through a computer or using a mobile phone? If so, are they very expensive?

Yes , I went to Limouge France last year as a guest of Le Grande electrical manufacturer who had a 'smart house' where you could do that and set up lighting levels, fill bath, close blinds on windows etc, It was proposed for U K market this year, Regards SPARX
