Floor tile adhesive - ready mix or not?

by DIY-mikey » Tue Nov 11, 2008 2:42 pm

I'm considering using Unibond floor tile readymix adhesive for tiling on a concrete floor. Is this any good?

Is there a better floor tiling ready mix adhesive that I could use, or should I really be mixing up a powder mixture?

I'm laying floor tiles which are in various sizes in a pattern, the largest of which is 1m x 0.5m.

foor tiling? ready mixed?? no, no NO!!

powder stuff that you knock together is much better - several good ones, BAL, weber, excel bond to name but a few. go to a tile shop, don't go to the diy stores. utter rubbish for this sort of stuff.

ready mix is ok for walls but not for floors.
