NOISY WATER

by Maggie22 » Tue Nov 25, 2008 8:21 pm

I have a problem with noisy taps. When I turn on the hot water after about 30 - 40 seconds there is a deafening noise similar to a fog horn. I have to turn on all the cold taps at full force to stop the noise. Sometimes the noise continues even when the hot tap is turned off for a few more seconds.

Please help before it drives me mad.

Hi Maggie,

Turn your mains stop tap down a bit to see if this stops/reduces the noise.

Or replace the header tank ball valve in the loft.
